AMPS

Amplified Musculoskeletal Pain Syndrome

Amplified Musculoskeletal Pain Syndrome, more commonly known as AMPS, is an extremely painful medical condition. It is the presence of pain without an underlying cause due to the malfunction of the nervous system, which then provokes a person’s pain receptors to act abnormally. Symptoms vary from patient to patient, but a common theme between them is unexplained pain. The condition has not been thoroughly studied yet and is very hard to diagnose, as it is a diagnosis of exclusion. As a result, few doctors know or understand it.
