Welcome to Eats by Ellie! I’m Ellie, a senior in high school, and I’m passionate about baking
delicious homemade treats. At Eats by Ellie, we specialize in creating scrumptious baked goods
while simultaneously supporting a cause close to my heart. You may be wondering about the
name “Eats by Ellie,” and there’s a story behind it. I started baking with my mom when I was a
toddler, and it has always been my favorite activity. In 2019, I developed a condition called
Amplified Musculoskeletal Pain Syndrome (AMPS), which causes chronic pain in my head and
ears. AMPS is a condition where the body’s pain signals become amplified or exaggerated,
causing intense and prolonged discomfort. It often affects children and young adults, and the
exact cause is not fully understood. It has not been fun or easy, but I believe in turning
challenges into opportunities, so l channel my love for baking into something meaningful. To
raise awareness and support research efforts, Eats by Ellie is committed to donating a
significant portion of our profits to the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), a pioneer in
AMPS research. Additionally, to further my impact on the AMPS community, I founded AMPS
Awareness Association. An organization that promotes community, shares research and
knowledge about AMPS, and increases awareness of the condition. It can be found at
ampsawarenessassociation.org. By indulging in our delectable treats, you’re not only treating
yourself but also contributing to a more significant cause. Your support helps me make a
difference in the lives of those affected by AMPS, as I strive to create awareness, support
research, and improve the quality of life for individuals battling this condition. So, join me on this
journey of flavor and philanthropy. Explore Eats by Ellie’s delectable range of homemade baked
goods, including cookies, healthy sweets, snacks, and more, all made with love and a
dedication to supporting AMPS research. Together, we can savor the sweetness and make a
positive impact in the fight against AMPS.
